Since we’ve let the milkweed, and other native plants, overtake some parts of our gardens… the dragonfly population in our yard is way up. They are everywhere now! ❤️

I am tired of words. Words used by the powerful, to say things like “this is ethical“ or “this is legal” or “you are inferior, we are superior”, or “we do this to protect the children”. Despite piles of evidence that prove the statements untrue.
But because these are spoken by people in authority, something in our brain just goes “oh, ok”.
We MUST stop. This is like a bug in our brains software, and the powerful exploit it continuously. Learn to identify it, and call it out. Humiliate them.

My spouse has given me the side eye for the last 3 years, because I let milkweed take over some of our flower beds.
This is why! Found 4 monarch caterpillars tonight!

I remember the moral panic about dual cassette decks. The copying would kill the music industry!!
Then, same was said for the CD, the Minidisc, and then the MP3.
In the end, what really killed the music industry was corporate greed.
Capitalism is the reason we can’t have nice things.
