The bias of experience is everywhere.
News outlets/reporters assume that unless they know about it, it doesn't happen.
Social media amplifies this as only events/opinions/worlds we hear about exist.
COVID-19 is an example. During the pandemic reporters demanded to know why we weren't doing anything, then demanded to know why we didn't do it sooner then promoted fears (misdirected at mRNA vaccines)
And now almost nothing in the news and many think no one is dying from COVID anymore.

I can accept people who don't know what mRNA is being sceptical about mRNA vaccines but ICU uptake is a rain/no rain observation.

I also make sure my vehicle is tuned up and try, try mind, not to let the tanks go below 1/2. With temperatures changing from warm to cold, moisture in the air of a tank condenses and can cause gas-line or the gas line filter to freeze up.
If that happens, a bit of methyl hydrate will clear it right up.

@npub16mz…hm5n it's just controller that goes between the plug in and the block heater that turns the power on/off as you designate. There are mechanical ones and electronic.

I plugin at -25°C or lower at night and use a controller that powers in for 20 minutes out of the hour randomly. During the day I Plug in for about 20 before I need to use the car

Interestingly, this call of "Parental Rights" by people in Canada uses a Right that does not exist. In Canada as a signatory to the UN charter on the rights of children, parents are responsible for the safety and development of their children. It's the children who have the rights - to a safe and nurturing environment: at home, in school and in the community.
