A bustling city street at rush hour. People hurry along, but our focus is on two men:
JAMES, mid-30s, in a suit, always looking up with ambition in his eyes. He gazes at:
• The Skyscraper: His office building, with the coveted corner office window reflecting the morning sun.
• Billboards: Displaying luxury cars, expensive watches, the epitome of success.
NOAH, late 40s, rugged, working quietly on a small, sturdy raft in an alleyway, always looking down or straight ahead, focused on his task.
CUT TO:
INT. JAMES'S OFFICE - DAY
James works diligently, but his eyes often drift to the corner office, currently occupied by his boss.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
James believed in the climb. Each step up was a step towards his dreams of moving up. But every day, on his way to work, he encountered Noah. A man who who didn't seem to notice there was a sky above him at all.
EXT. ALLEYWAY - VARIOUS DAYS
We see time passing. Changing weather, and routines with Noah remaining the constant. Slowly, and meticulously building his raft.
CUT TO:
EXT. CITY STREET - ANOTHER MORNING
Months pass, and as James futzes with the new watch on his arm curiosity, and slight frustration at Noah's contrary existence, finally drive him to ask about his task.
JAMES
(With a mix of curiosity and condescension)
Why are you always looking down? Building... this?
NOAH
(Engrossed in his work, calm)
The systems we trust tell us everything worth having is above us. What they don't tell us is the system is meant to hold us down.
JAMES
(Confused)
So, you're just opting out?
NOAH
Not opting out. Understanding.
(Looking up for the first time, cool.)
If we're stuck on the bottom, and the bottom falls out or rises to engulf us, we die. The only way to win is to have something stable beneath your feet.
JAMES
(a beat.)
Good luck with that.
JAMES walks off as NOAH checks his watch before returning to his work. The same watch JAMES has.
CUT TO:
MONTAGE:
James in meetings, looking up at charts showing upward trends.
Noah adding piece by piece to his raft, securing, testing.
James at a company party, eyeing the promotion list; his name is second.
Noah, building. The wonky raft getting larger, filling the alley. As he puts the finishing nail a lightning flash. For the first time, he looks to the sky.
EXT. CITY - DAY OF THE FLOOD
A sudden, unprecedented flood hits the city. Chaos ensues.
People are scrambling, but the water rises fast.
James, caught in the flood, struggles. His dreams, the billboards, the shoes, the watches, literally going underwater.
EXT. ALLEYWAY - SAME TIME
Noah calmly pushes his raft into the water. It floats perfectly. He climbs aboard.
EXT. SUNKEN CITY - LATER
The chaos has died down. The survivors huddled on rooftops. As the fog clears, a lone raft gently glides into view towards a shocked James. Noah gently smiles as he anchors to the building.
JAMES
You knew this would happen?
NOAH
I knew to prepare for it.
Noah helps James aboard the raft. James finally sees they have the same watch.
NOAH
(Catching James seeing his watch.)
Sometimes we can't leave all the pieces of our old life behind. But that means we need to prepare all the more for those who won't be able to grasp what only our experiences could have taught us. Now get out of the way, we've got more people to save.
FADE TO:
EXT. FLOATING RAFT - DAY
The raft moves through the flooded city, heading toward another rooftop with stranded survivors. We pull back to see the whole world is covered in water, rooftops peeking out sprinkled with people.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
James believed in the climb. Each step up was a step towards his dreams of moving up. But what Noah understood was more important than the climb, was truly understanding the mountain he was climbing.
FADE OUT.

Family member who was on of the children saved in "Operation Peter Pan." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Peter_Pan
Sadly, it was basically a precursor to the crap we have now (you can't separate the families!) but I did get to go to Cuba and see her old house.
A single family home was divided into FOUR houses for FOUR families. They just tossed up walls in places to make it happen.

New guy question:
Are there any good extensions for Nostr that auto-translate "latest" or "Trending" or whatever from X language into the local language?
Feels like this instantly unlocks a few things:
1. If it's an "open source" dictionary of a type, you get a quick look at local "slang" which makes AI translations better faster. (See also: Bae or Chuffed in English).
2. Increased speed to information distribution. Not that Nostr-crack is what we want, but this will help decentralize away from MSM if people are able to get their news somewhere else in their native tongue. (Bonus if they can correct colloquial mistakes for others "Revise translation" - Zap reward for "correct" support?)
3. Insights like NVKs can be spread to combat Propaganda. It's great that we can see this in English, but if you're Mammy somewhere and this is your first phone (thinking 5 years when Nostr is more mainstream), the way you exit the matrix is truth.

"CANDLE"
A Short Film
INT. SUPERMARKET - DAY
The fluorescent lights buzz overhead, casting a sterile glow over rows of neatly stacked products. A man, JACK, mid-30s, with a slightly worried look, navigates through the aisles. His eyes are fixed on a piece of paper in his hand - a shopping list with "Candle for Wife's Birthday" circled.
JACK (muttering to himself)
"Just a candle. How hard can it be?"
He turns into the candle aisle. The shelves are lined with candles of all sizes and scents, but what catches his eye are the digital price tags flickering above each item.
JACK (to himself, hopeful)
"Let's make this quick."
He spots two candles side by side. One is labeled "Lavender Dream" and the other "Ocean Breeze." The prices are reasonable, but Jack, being frugal, reaches for the cheaper "Lavender Dream."
As he picks it up, the digital price tag blinks and the number jumps up, surpassing the price of "Ocean Breeze." Jack's eyebrows furrow in confusion.
JACK (confused)
"What the...?"
He puts "Lavender Dream" back and picks up "Ocean Breeze." The same thing happens; the price tag for "Ocean Breeze" now shows a higher number, exceeding "Lavender Dream."
Jack's confusion turns to mild panic. He checks his wallet, counting the bills. Not enough. He removes some "Men's shampoo" from his cart.
JACK (to himself, resigned)
"At least the house'll smell nice."
He goes to pickup the "Ocean Breeze" - it's even higher again.
JACK (to himself, increasingly anxious)
"What the... This can't be right."
His eyes dart around, landing on a small TV mounted on the wall at the end of the aisle. The screen is ablaze with breaking news:
TV NEWS ANCHOR - Max Keiser Type - (screaming)
"INFLATION IS SKYROCKETING! PANIC! PANIC!"
The screen shows a bizarre, animated figure labeled "The Inflation God" laughing maniacally, candles shooting out of its mouth like fireworks.
Jack looks back at the candles. Their prices are now doubling and tripling every second right before his eyes. His face pales.
JACK (desperate)
"What's happening..."
He looks directly at the camera, his expression a mix of disbelief and resignation. The camera zooms into his eyes, reflecting the flickering price tags and the chaotic TV screen.
CUT TO BLACK

This is actually one of the reasons I disagree with @npub1qny…95gx and others about getting off of X.
Build here - 100% - get it ready.
But mass media is too powerful in the culture war.
The way to win is to fight a two-front war. And the unleash coordinated propaganda of our own.
Not all will break free (I get that.) but we don’t need all - we just need a few at the top. A few gatekeepers and the floodgates open.
Bitcoin will happen. But the transition will be peaceful or bloody. The determining factor will be the amount of hearts and minds changed before that moment comes.

Tuttle Twins are doing a great job as a start - but I think projects for @npub1vmg…gyu4 would do exceptionally well.
Funding is the key though - Animation is VERY capital intensive.

Because the tools available right now... there's a good chance you can make a killer trailer (without doing the whole movie) to get the point across, and then use that to pivot into a full length thing.
