I get this from family in the UK too. At one point I was tempted to photograph all my Nan’s remote controls because she frequently “broke” things by pressing random buttons and then expected me to fix it from hundreds of miles away 😅

I don't use firefox but in chrome you can use the select tool in dev tools to hover over elements and see their accessible names or you can open the accessibility panel to show various attributes and computed properties which shows how the accName was calculated

I find it buggy in Chrome, especially lately I've also had trouble getting it to access the web page. It's more reliable in Safari but I still notice that sometimes it won't announce things that do have accessible names the first time, but going back and retriggering will announce it. And it jumps back and forth between English and Swedish even with language set. It's a law unto itself!

NVDA, Jaws, Narrator: Let's use one-key shortcuts that are easy to remember eg H for Headings, L for Lists, T for Tables
VoiceOver: You're gonna need 11 fingers contorted in a way that's not physically possible and all the keys are entirely random so you can't use any kind of memory aid to help
