There is a lot to work on to replicate the same podcast 4V4 experience with your own node.
But we are getting there. That comes from us for instance: https://github.com/lightningdevkit/ldk-node/pull/273 🙂

But for boostagrams you should see in the transaction list. These are keysend payments.

hey CSB,
Bolt-11 based payments and messages run on separate rails. Currently we only know data regarding the invoice (hash, preimage). The message is sent to the receiver's server directly. Adding the message/comment makes sense but requires quite some changes to our database and to the API that we use in the extension and on getalby.com.

That's correct. We are working on adding these details.
The receiver already sees comment, sender name and email address in his dashboard on getalby.com.

You can sign up for an Alby account without invite codes if you come directly from a podcast app.
We give out lists of invite codes to partners if they wish.

you only see successful incoming and outgoing transactions in the extension or on getalby.com. Unsettled transactions are not shown at all.
But the preimage is only displayed in the extension.

If Gene runs his own node it might take slightly longer to route the payment compared to sending to an Alby account.

That looks good. If you enlarge the single transactions you should see a preimage number which serves as a payment confirmation.

yes, we are working on getting the full send and receive functionality into getalby.com.
Which wallet cannot send to a lightning address?
Actually, invoices are created and exchanged under the hood.
With the Alby Browser extension you can create invoices
or: copy the invoice from https://getalby.com/lnurlp/csb/callback?amount=1000
amount is in milli sats. So 1000 = 1 sat

Creating an invoice on getalby.com for a specific amount is not yet possible.
You can use a lightning address to receive sats or connect your Alby Account to the Alby Extension/ Zeus app/ BlueWallet app and create a invoice there.

RSS.com was the first hosting service to integrate V4V with Alby. followed by Blubrry, Disctopia etc.

To access Nostr apps on the web it is recommended to use a browser extension like Nos2x or Alby to securely manage your Nostr private key.
Alby also comes with a lightning wallet and lightning address.
