Nvidia is still celebrating its RTX milestone.
Nvidia hit a milestone of 500 games and apps using its RTX technologies like DLSS and ray tracing last week, and it’s continuing to celebrate with more games running DLSS. A new driver is being released today and includes game ready support for The Finals, a destructive first-person shooter that shipped last week with ray tracing, DLSS 3 and Nvidia’s Reflex tech. This new driver also includes some important fixes for intermittent stutter when v-sync is enabled.

The blissful days of Windows XP return.
It’s the holiday season, so it’s time for the latest Windows-themed ugly sweater. This time Microsoft has selected the Bliss default wallpaper from Windows XP for some holiday treatment. It’s available today from the company’s Xbox Gear Shop, priced at $69.99. Microsoft is supporting The Nature Conservancy this year with its sixth Windows-themed ugly sweater. Previous sweaters have included Clippy, Minesweeper, and Windows 95.

Microsoft launches Windows 365 Frontline.
A new version of Windows 365, designed for frontline workers and shift work, is now generally available. These flexible cloud PCs will soon be integrated into Windows 365 Boot on Windows 11 so businesses can boot straight into cloud-powered virtual PCs instead of a local install. Windows 365 Frontline will also automatically power on soon prior to the start of someone’s shift, speeding up the logon process.

Microsoft is adding new color options for its Xbox Elite 2 controllers in the Xbox Design Lab. There are new red, blue, and pink options, and even black-out ABXY buttons. These custom Xbox Elite 2 controllers are available for $149.99, and include adjustable-tension thumbsticks, rubberized grips, and shorter hair trigger locks.
