Yeah but it's not that simple. People's attitudes change with age.
A really vivid example: if in 1968 you were an 18-year-old, you may well have been one of the stoned peace-loving embrace-the-world flower-power hippies which that year is famous for.
Those exact same 18-year-olds from 1968 were 66 years old in 2016. The age group that voted more heavily than any other in favour of Brexit.
