I’ve been trying Brighter Shores, a new MMO from some of the original creators of RuneScape, and I’m finding myself dwelling on it during the work day.
I can’t make any assertion that it’s a “good game, but it’s pleasant when a game causes me to ruminate over what I’ll find next time I play it.

Part of me also would like to write longer posts. Usually I end up getting impatient and want to get the thing over the finish line. I've dropped posts in progress before because my vision for the final post is too grandiose.
I might prefer to write more often then write longer posts, but both are likely worth aspiring to.

I’ve been enjoying the :pipe command in Helix as of late.
I’m sure the applications are endless, but being able to select some text and pipe it to the fmt command has been pretty handy for formatting chunks of markdown to a specific width.

What's your preferred way to invite replies to a blog post?
Email is an obvious choice. I've seen some neat strategies around pulling replies from the fediverse (though that's somewhat prone to link rot).
Right now I have nothing. There's a certain elegance to it, but I might want a bit more.

I’ve been dipping my toes into the world of #gamedev this last week, giving #Bevy a shot (because you know, #rust).
My goal is to recreate Pac-Man, which has proved to be trickier than excepted.
Making games is hard (at least so far), but it’s been a fun to think about code in a way I haven’t before.

I deployed my first #rust app to production 🎉
I needed a proper billing integration for @npub1dc0…6ts0, and decided to build the web server with #axum. It took me a bit longer than anticipated (due to a lot of learning along the way), but it feels great to finally have it out there processing payments.
Big thanks to @npub1qxz…g3ya for Zero To Production in Rust! It was an invaluable resource.

@npub1yxz…6s8m Huge variance. The actual sickness lasted ~10 days for me, but the fatigue has been ongoing over a year later (though it’s gotten much better). Most people feel back to normal immediately after though.

All these web assembly frontend #rust frameworks are super intriguing. Especially #Leptos.
They feel a bit fresh to be using in production, but am intrigued to see what the future brings.
I need to build a frontend for a billing app based on #Axum, but might end up going with server rendered templates, possibly with #htmx thrown in. Feels like a safer option.
I just don’t want to write #javascript.
