It’s way more plausible that Hersh, being in his 70s and working independently now, could be fooled by a Russian agent posing as a US official, than that Putin had tapes of Trump getting pissed on and was using them as blackmail to get political concessions, especially considering the source of that claim.

The guy is old, and works independently now as I understand it, so he could have been fooled by a sophisticated actor.
