@npub1u27…3qfq Wow... so sad to read this. Naomi was a constant presence on my Twitter (RIP) feed as well back in the day. Her perspective on China was refreshing and she often battled reply guys and know-it-alls with grace and humour. What a shame.

@npub1upk…tcwy Superb writeup, thanks for sharing! Like @npub137w…7g9r , first time I hear about instances blocking one-person servers... hope it's not widespread.
All the pain points are very accurate. I got used to "open in original site" but it's cumbersome and annoying. And I think this affects all small instances, not only one-person ones. I wish @npub1vl7…2stc did something about it, or other apps different from Mastodon, like @npub1g0h…q66a , were more popular.

@npub17pq…49p0 I know of lots of folks that plug these RSS feeds to, say, Slack channels, Telegram bots, and other systems (we're one of them). What is the current alternative?

RSS feeds on StackExchange (including StackOverflow) have been intermittently broken for 8 months and *nobody* from the company will say a word https://meta.stackexchange.com/q/385546
