But look what a hypocrisy! When Musk is doing this against UK he need to be sanctioned. He had been doing exactly same to incite violence and disorder in Venezuela. But no call for sanctioning him!

This is an interesting chart and show how abysmally low the healthcare spending in #India is. Compare it with an equally populous state like #China and one can clearly see how the political systems and ideology impacts the #healthcare spending.

You still need a phone number to register. They have released two features. 1. Phone number privacy - gives you control on who can see your number and who can find you by your number. By default none can see your number anymore on signal, if they don't have your number saved on their phone book
2. Usernames - optional feature. You can create a username and share it with people to connect with you.
1&2 together gives you better privacy, in spite of using phone numbers.

Just came across this ..
Still not sure how to feel about... why struggle so much to make Linux look n feel like windows?
May be some hard core windows users would feel better using this? I'll see if I can get few windows aficionados to give this a try!

@npub1kc8…j65c yes, with the dynamic pricing during the vacation seasons it has become horrible. But beyond that, this issue of adding more ac coaches and reducing the sleeper/2nd class and unreserved coaches is hugely discriminating against the common travellers.

This is already happening in many work places. At least a few people I know who work in large IT services companies have said their performance incentives are now linked to their attendance in office (beyond a bunch of other performance parameters).
I would expect this trend to only continue and increase.

This is a good article..and relevant for most of the countries in the world. The dependency on private vehicles especially #car is a big environmental concern. In spite of using #EV the impact on the #environment is not going to come down drastically. We need good #PublicTransportation very urgently.

This is a very positive news from #Nepal, on it's Supreme court allowing the registration of #SameSex #marriage. Certainly a lesson to be learned by neighboring #India, which is still contemplating where the official stand of the government is to oppose same sex marriages.

It appears like one of the last resorts of accessing #twitter without having an account has stopped working now. #Nitter had been a fairly useful tool, at least for me to quickly find stuff on twitter. Now it has stopped working for almost a day and this github issue indicates that it probably is gonna be the case going forward.
Another reason for people to look at moving off from the birdsite on to #fediverse.
