@nprofile…fv4z what makes the USA unique amongst democratic republics is the way political parties are never mentioned in its constitution. All federal elections are technically for people, majority and minority leaders are only internal rules of congress and so on.
As such, game theory is ruthless, quickly winnowing parties down to the leader and the one with the best chance to unseat the leader.

@npub1psd…9sr7 for some reason I am reminded of a feast that happened in the late Iain Banks' novella “The State of the Art", where the crew feasted upon meat grown from the cells of Earth's most infamous leaders (set in 1978). A system like you describe, where a few sample cells can be used as base stock, is definitely something that would be abused by wannabe cannibals. Or by criminals looking to generate lots of red herring DNA. And so on.

It moves, but we all know it is dead.

@npub1psd…9sr7 @npub1c5u…sr87 according to 512 Pixels it was an odd decision from Apple. My contact was in an ad agency where it was more for prestige than because they needed such a beast.

@npub1c5u…sr87 ah, yes, the Apple Network Server lineup, I actually dealt with one of these. And to my surprise, I see that IBM is still actively developing AIX (the Unix flavour the actual, non-Performa machines used).
Ah, memories of the bad old days, when Apple was doomed and we thought Sun was going to buy Apple.
