Switched from a Bitbox to a Cold Card Q recently. I like the Bitbox and think it's a god HWW but from my understanding the Q is king (go ez on me I'm low on the autism scale .. I try my best understanding these things).
Despite looking quite intimidating setup is intuitive, if you have any experience with seed creation, passphrases and such. I think it gives good 'guardrails' while making sure you understand that you're dealing with serious stuff.

There is a chance that I might be able to use local LLMs for my work on the other hand this will only be the case in a few years .. by then ther prbly have been made massive improvements for LLM chips.. so maybe only get an LLM optimized at that point.

Is it feasible to have one LN channel to a well-connected node, with transactions managed by the node and my phone/laptop as the 'frontend', whether on the same network or remote?
My setup:
- Umbrel #Bitcoin node on Pi 5 (8GB, 2TB M2 SSD)
- Installed CLN & Electrum Server (no channel yet)
- Using Phoenix wallet (like the single-channel concept)
- Want to take LN payouts from Ocean mining
- Considering 1 channel with Boltz but 0.01 BTC threshold is a bit concerning (not familiar with LN node backups)

What would be yalls recommended way of setting up a lightning node?
The cheapest & most reliable way to do this is probably getting a good old laptop, right?
But I kinda want to integrate the node into this 3D printed BitAxe stand so I would prefer a Pi or sth like that.
So I wonder: Pi 4, Pi 5, which Pi case, 1 or 2 TB, maybe some LED action or oversized cooling systems?

However, as Bitcoin is base money it's maybe more sensible to compare it to the monetary base of countries. I've found different information on the UK's monetary base but Bitcoin is prbly somewhere in that range. So it took ca. 15 years to reach the former world reserve currency.

Thanks a lot for your comment. Yes, it was a pretty expensive work/vacation trip. But I feel drawn into the southern US and I liked the Floridians. I was in Miami, Fort Myers, Tampa and Orlando. Specifically loved Tampa. Miami was also amazing. But I didn't find an area comparable to the walkable inner city areas of Hamburg in any of them. Why would u considered it the third world of the US? Pretty sure it's one of the richer US states, right? What are it's main differences to Texas for example?

People im Murica wake up later than Germans. In Germany I'd say a typical time to start at work is 7:30. In the US, it's 8:30 to 9 am. A large percentage of Germans wake up at 6 am to get ready before work. Here people r more surprised when I set my alarm to 6 am.

This note was meant completely non-judgmental. Personally, I can see many advantages of having an armed population that can defend itself. Today I was writing a job application mail in a park in Miami and this dude sat down close to me. After some time he asks me whether I'd be ok with him smoking one. Of course. He saw my insta360 and asked whether I'm a famous content creator .. unfortunately not. So we started talking about Florida, the US and Germany and it got to the topic of gun ownership .. obviously a politically charged topic. He said that he thinks it's good that every adult should have easy access to firearms. So I asked him whether that is a controversial opinion in Florida. And he said 'No'. He said the majority of people think this is normal and how it should be .. and I find this cultural difference so interesting, as 99% of Germans would find this opinion to be completely insane.

My first time visiting the US. Gonna stay in Florida for 5 weeks but I'm not really feeling joyful excitement as I did with my last vacation. It's more of an inner tension, as it's more serious this time. It's about starting a business, finding a job and probably leaving Germany.

Admitedly, I think the slogan 'pause, take care before u share' is good advice. When it comes to sensitive & emotional discussion one (or at least me) tends to react and answer on the spot .. sometimes emotionally and not thought out well.
