Anyone else think Apple should rewrite Safari in Swift?
It would be a massive undertaking and could be done piecemeal. E.G. Rendering, or perhaps just the UI chrome, for starters.
I heard somewhere it’s the most used piece of Apple software. It would certainly make life interesting for the Safari/WebKit team. 😃

@npub1xsy…cevg @npub1t5m…9guy A better story. We had this big beautiful cat named Jasper. He was very chill. One day my wife and I were working in the yard with Jasper standing next to my wife. A mouse runs by after I remove a big shrub. Jasper watches it go. My wife shamed him.
Later that afternoon he brings a mouse to my wife and drops it at her feet (we were still outside.) It was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen.

I’ve been working on bridging TypeScript to use Native code in a React Native app and now I want to learn TypeScript. It’s about time I suppose.
I’d imagine I should learn JavaScript first so I understand how TypeScript is better and know about the peculiarities of JavaScript. 🤔

Really great advice. I say that because it’s the same advice I give people. 😃
Safari is a great browser and doesn’t have to sell your browsing habits to advertisers. In fact, Apple work to keep your data safe.
Now we need more web devs to build for more than Chrome. At one time this happened when Microsoft convinced people Internet Explorer was the only way to go, so folks did special stuff only for IE.
