Reading that Front national rebranded to Rassemblement national as part of a campaign to soften their image and make them more acceptable to polite society has an extra layer of eeriness in Norwegian, as the translated version of the new brand, Nasjonal samling, was the name of the Norwegian Nazi party that formed a puppet regime under the Nazi German occupation, led by not just *a* quisling but *the* Quisling.
