it looks like the source is in docbook format. Since that and epub are both XML, it should theoretically be possible to translate using XSLT alone. This looks promising, but it's still a bit project: https://cdn.docbook.org/release/xsl-nons/current/epub3/

You know, the lack of accolades for having been right all along is a little disappointing, but what really grinds my gears is the complete lack of consequences for the people who were wrong all along.

I love the craft of coding, but I haven't read much about it aside from the random blog post. For instance, I find that I switch between (what feels like) top-down and bottom-up programming—sometimes I write functions that call functions that don't exist yet, until I get to the point where it's time to start "actually implementing stuff", while other times I start from the simplest bit of implementation and add features and complexity. Does everyone do this? Am I calling them the right things?

at first I thought that this would be a critique of something called "strategic authenticity", but then I was a little shocked to see that it was actually advocating the approach. But then my feelings changed again when I realized "this is exactly how I approach my workplaces". So now I don't even know how I feel.
