@npub1z70…twul it's a lovely place, we had a great time just seeing the sights. Didn't even know about the Jackie Clarke collection until we were actually in town, but we ended up visiting there as well.
I'd love to go back in the summer for the salmon festival, it sounds like a hell of a time!

@npub1z70…twul the city my great-grandparents emigrated from! Wanted to visit Ireland with Mum for many years, we finally made it happen last year. Stayed very close to this painting's POV and made a point to visit St. Muredach's while we were there.

One of the surprisingly interesting things about reading Harold McGee is seeing which things are deserving of figures. His writing is so dominated by textual presentation that it really stands out when he uses one.

@npub14d7…dm4s I usually don't like to speak ill of programming languages, but in the case of MATLAB I feel relatively free to carry on with disparagement because it feels much more like some kind of shambling horror shoggoth mimicking a programming language, and inflicting psychic damage on all the poor folks who get their first exposure to programming through it
