You know what I keep noticing, both in real life and online? Nobody approaches their friends asking stuff like "What do you make of this?" anymore. The whole concept of "I have no opinion so I'm going to ask someone I trust and believe to be more competent in this field" appears to have vanished from our culture completely.
I sometimes do this with my friends IRL and they're dumbfounded because it seems no one else is doing this anymore. I don't know, perhaps this is a me problem. Perhaps my ego just isn't big enough for this culture. Perhaps humility and willingness to learn are weird and old-fashioned ideals that have no place in it.

I mean seriously. What's the problem here, man. Is this cheating? Too easy? Well in that case, take away people's antidepressants and anxiety meds as well. That synthetic shit only gives you oedema anyway. Afraid that I'll drive under the influence? Dude. Do you think someone standing in the grass barefoot and feeling their unity with all life will be like "Hey this is boring, let's take a ride in my car instead"? It's all bogus. Are you worried about my health? Ban alcohol instead. Oh and button mushrooms, they contain hydrazine. There isn't a single rational reason to outlaw this, _unless_ the ban is doing exactly what it's intended do to. Consider that for a bit, huh.

Oh but sure it's much more ~healthy~ to spend years of my life and thousands of Euros on trying to explain shit to some poorly trained cog in the medical machine who couldn't give less of a flying fuck about whether I live or die than to walk around and forage on grazing grounds for an hour, spend a couple of hours afloat in ego death and wake up relaxed the next day after having worked through years of trauma
