Today has been a lot. Seeing pictures of when I was young, not broken and utterly in love with my ex was an experience that I wasn't prepared for. Seeing my ex cry. I have never seen him break down before. Saying goodbye to a quiet and gentle man from the generation before. Then driving for 6 hours and hundreds of miles.

I had such a wonderful visit to my tattoo artist to share the healed piece. It was such an awesome feeling as he took images to share. He gave me a hug as I left. I love the way that we work together to produce such amazing custom pieces. He is fabulous.

As a part of my neurodiversity, I have intrusive thoughts and hard to challenge ruminations. I have worked through a lot of CBT to try to manage them. The last time that I spoke to a specialist about them, they said that I basically have to learn to live with it. Whilst that answer really upset me, it is true. Learning to live with what I have got is the only way forward. It includes accepting that my reality is never going to include a core relationship.

I am very grateful that there are helplines out there but there is a big problem with them. I understand what they are doing with their questions but it makes me walk away every time. If I need someone to talk to, I need to talk. I do not need to be grilled and judged. I used to take lots of leg pictures because I like my legs. Then, just like that, a couple of random people on the Internet felt motivated to tell me that my legs weren't as good as they could be &/or weren't as good as other people who they named.
