@nprofile…plxj sorry fürs cherry-picking, aber dieser Vorwurf ist Quatsch: es ist der Job von Medien Dinge unabhängig davon einzuordnen was die Leute hören wollen. Natürlich sollte man Kritik ernst nehmen, aber sie ist nicht automatisch berechtigt. Jede Kritik anzuerkennen führt zu false balence. Live und in Farbe kann man das an den Auftritten von Rechtsextremisten im ÖR beobachten.

@nprofile…ln70 I think the argument goes like this: since FOSS code is not restricted, everyone can publish their own fork and choose to use libs/dependencies freely. You have an unrestricted vote in what code you run. The de facto standards are voted for by adoption.
This argument could be adapted to claim that sciense is democratic. But I agree that while I am convinced that free software and free sciense are both parts of a healthy society, it is just a seperate concept.

@nprofile…5u70 that's what the mozilla foundation is supposed to be. And it was working until they shifted form building a browser to building services their audience doesn't care for. I think most users are content with the default settings for start page and search engine being auctioned off to adverticers. Even an opt-in to allow them selling telemetry. Or maybe annoying donation banners before christmas. My speculation is that the ToS are more related to their ai endeavours than raising funds.

Wenn man das akzeptiert hat, kann man wieder hoffen, dass wir sie eindämmen und mit den Folgen leben lernen. Einer vergangenen Erde nachzutrauern hilft ja nix. Aufgeben noch viel weniger.

@nprofile…g4ww ich finde das prinzipiell nicht verwerflich Kleinstpartein zu wählen. Die Grünen waren ja auch mal eine. Aber keine Partei mit konstruktivem Programm zu wählen ist tatsächlich albern bis demokratiezersetzend.
Und vieles was die Grünen angeblich unwählbar macht waren ja Kompromisse mit der FDP, die die aktiv und bewusst getrollt haben.

@npub1ahd…4p2e Ohh nein. Ich bin heut Abend als Softwaremensch auf ner Veranstaltung mit vielen Entscheidern. Das wird spaßig zu erklären wie wenig Vorhersagekraft der Preis für den Erfolg von LLMs hat.
Aber Gratulation für sie Vorhersage! Und natürlich gönn ich den Preis auch den AlphaFold-Erfindern, das scheint ja wirklich sinnvoll zu sein.

Hier werden gefährliche und falsche Mythen darüber reproduziert, dass dieser Textgenerator in irgendeiner Weise präzise oder objektiv sei. Mit entsprechenden Prompts kann man sich auch eine positive Utopie des Szenarios erzählen lassen. Da ist es gefährlich zu behaupten, dass die KI objektiv sei.
