I know that several of my adult students (~ 40+) have gotten the Shingrex, so at least in NM (US) Walgreens doesn't seem to be too picky. Speaking for myself, I had chicken pox as a kid, pre-vaccine, so I know I'm a candidate for getting shingles.

At least in NM, you can schedule a shingles vaccination at any Walgreens, I got mine last year. When I was filling out the form to schedule the shots, I didn't see any questions about age so I'm not sure if it's seniors only.

Just... no. Absolutely cannot abide 'runny' eggs. They have to be fluffy (a touch of milk while whisking) and perhaps just a teeny bit browned just before turning them onto the plate. Bacon should be thin and crispy. Toast should be deep brown with lots of butter. If I want to go hog wild, I'll add a dollop of salsa on the eggs.
But 'creamy'? 😬

I do a variation on your technique. I usually have two or three tasks lined up for any given day, I do the least appealing first, then reward myself with the progressively better tasks until I get to the easiest or most fun.

I think you're onto something as well. In addition to the possible ableism, I also think that there's some big money in the 'natural' health business, using homeopathic solutions. I'm not saying that all of the homeopathic solutions are ineffective but I suspect they make some folks feel as though they're in control of their own health and the people making money from the genre deliberately press that button.

Good for you! We don't get down to El Paso much these days but we used to eat at Julio's a lot when we lived down there and it's good if you like Mexican food.

I honestly suspect that the obscenely wealthy people who are behind the current shitshow don't care one way or the other about ordinary people as long as they can stack the deck towards them becoming richer. Ordinary people like us are just so many pieces on a Monopoly board to them. What we must do is stop the steamroller.

The context matters a LOT; maybe ten, twenty years ago before the morbidly rich managed to gain control of the whole process we could afford to vote on principles but this time around the situation is very different. We MUST vote for our very survival as a genuine democracy that represents and supports all those mentioned and more besides.

So that's 3 similar data points in our small sample, very interesting! Here I was thinking it was just my own singular POV! BTW, it irritates me no end that the tRumpys appropriated the US flag as their personal 'in your face' manifestation of warped non-patriotism. I used to fly the flag every 4th of July but have refrained since it took on a repugnant double meaning.

I'm in the SW and have several tRumpy neighbors. For several years, they've flown a variety of the 'tRump' flags. Then about six months ago, all of them except the 'blue stripe' flag guy took their flags down and haven't put them up again. I've been wondering if that's significant.
