So far today, I've written around 700 words into my latest story. I'm really not sure if I like it, but I'm going to finish it. It adds a sci-fi element to my fantasy world, and I'm not sure I'm okay with that.

Honestly, Lith has never given the idea of children a second thought. Maybe since she's been on the run for most of her life the idea didn't appeal to her. You'd have to ask the writer of the story why he never broached the subject.

The little girl in my latest story looks out her window to see the moon rising over the Colair River. She also sees the bright souls of the dead as they walk its floodplains.

What kinds of character arcs do you like writing?
To be truthful, I don't really think of arcs of any kind while creating my stories. I suppose I should, but I don't analyze my writing the way some people do.

@npub10d5…vvxa I've been mostly inside for the past two days. I have no air conditioning but am thankful that the heat wave we were experiencing has finally cooled off. When I go outside the smell of burnt wood is heavy i the air.

It really depends on where you live. Each major city has its own twist on justice. Some are heavy-handed, using mercenaries to police, then some are religious factions who police themselves. What I'm saying is it varies.
