#Journal of a slightly exhausted Dutch Pixy 🧚🏼‍♀️ (Monday, July 8th 2024).
TL;DR usual morning with gym and SniffBook walkies. Then Herpen, some painting, back to Cuijk for the shower cabin. Got everything done that I wanted to do, even some relaxing... 😊 It was a decent day for sure!
After it had taken ages to fall asleep, when my alarm woke me, I didn't wanna get up just yet... My sleep score was 89, so not too bad, but I still felt rather tired. I got to the scales and they surprised me! Wow! Nice... 😊 Then I got dressed, took my meds, prepared Arwen's meat, and we headed out for short walkies. Arwen did her things and then she got her food, as I put out the snacks and grabbed my bag. Onwards to the gym!
A friend was at the gym, so we had a nice chat. But that meant less time to sit and update my Mastodon 😉. I got to the treadmill, tried to see all the notifications and reply to them. While on the bike, I wrote my journal Toot. Unfortunately, the massage chair was dead again. 😭 That's so unfair! So I switched shoes and headed back to the apartment.
Quick wash up and brekky. Then, SniffBook walkies. It was 12°C, and dry, so not too bad to go. Arwen had loads of sniffs and I wrote for my blog and for Masto. Edited some pictures as well... We had a good walk, although at some point I did start urging Arwen to take a little less sniffs. It was taking longer than usual... And I know it's the SniffBook round, but it's the walkies... Not standing still and falling asleep 😂!
When we got back, I got to the PC and I finished my "week one" post for the blog. I copied the journal text to the blog as well, so I'll only have some small editing to do in Tuesday morning for the journal blog post to be ready. I'm glad I kept up with it while I could.
Then I packed some bits in Skoosh again and Arwen and I headed back to Herpen. A shorter day today, as dad was coming to Cuijk in the afternoon. Arwen and I had a nice walk before I switched clothes and got to painting. I finished the walls in the living room now, yay! Just one in the bedroom and then the 1½ in the kitchen. Then the downstairs are is done... 😊 Yay!
When I was done with painting, I tried to connect the fiber set for the internet. I followed instructions, hoping I did OK. I had to hang up the modem, so I hoped I would do that OK as well. I plugged all I could plug, I put the power plugs in and... I got a text from my provider saying I had been connected... So, I guess I did right! 😁 I checked the Wi-Fi and it was working well. I may need a Wi-Fi repeater to reach the house better. With the floor heating, I guess the signal gets through little less. But there's three cables connected to outkays in the house (two in the living room), so hopefully they will work and I can plug my wired things in properly then. 😊
Arwen and I went back to the apartment. A quick stop at the store for some food. Then a quick stop to put some gasoline in Skoosh, I could not afford to fill her up all the way, but we should get over 200km extra again now.
I fixed some food for me. Then I let Arwen pee and I made her food. I started the washing machine, as it had not run in the weekend... And I did need some clean gym clothes again... 😊
Dad came a little early and we got to work! It was a bit challenging, but we got it done! 💪🏼 The cabin needs some cleaning before we can install it in Herpen again. But it's loose and ready to be moved this weekend. Yay! We also disconnected three lamps from the ceiling that will move with me as well.
After that, dad went home and I had some time to relax. Of course after a short while, my brain was like "that kit on the bathroom floor needs to be removed as best as you can". So of course I started working on that some. When my hands were too tired, I sat for a wee bit before I got ready for bed. I was hoping for a good night, lord knows I could need one...
I prepared everything for the next day. Teeth, meds and bag. Walked Arwen and then we were ready for sleepies. It took me about 20 minutes to fall asleep. I woke once for the loo. Then I was able to fall asleep again till my alarm woke me. Yay!
And now, the Tuesday has begun. Today, they'll bring the floors to the house. I got a decent time frame so that's a plus (for me). 😊 Let's see what I can get done today.

Sorry...
I have no idea why I feel like I do now...
Exhausted.
Insecure.
Weak.
Beaten.
I know it's the autism not doing the change thing well. I know it's all the things I've been dealing with, leading up to an autistic burnout. But... I can't give up now!
I need to be strong. I need to get through this. I need to get it done. After all is done and dusted... Then I can recover.
So I'm sorry for being more weird than usual. For being less happy/silly than usual. For being less online and writing toots like these...
In about 5 weeks... Most of the hard work, and biggest changes, will have happened. Then, hopefully, I can make my new house a home. Then I can settle into a new routine. But yeah... Five weeks seem like a lifetime when feeling like I do now...

When I joined this server, I made an #introduction Toot. As I've recently made some new Friendos here, I wanted to write a new intro Toot!
I'm Cynni Pixy, nicknames obviously, and I'm a 44 year old female. Though I don't mind the she/her pronouns, I also accept the they/them ones.
I have a chocolate brown Labrador, who will turn 11 on July 15th. She's the love of my life and has really been my life saver in desperate times in the past.
I'm #AuDHD / #ADHD & #ActuallyAutistic. I struggle with chronic depression, and an binge eating disorder (so fighting the obesity is a daily thing) and I have some physical issues as well
The biggest ones are #Fibromyalgia #Spoonie (who took the spoons and why do my muscles hurt that badly?), hypermobility (I didn't know to could bend that far 🤔) and I have a (second) new right hip. The one I got at birth wasn't in the best condition.
While my AuDHD presses me to keep active and busy and to do better, my fibro just needs more rest... Finding a balance that works is a daily chore!
I'll be getting the keys to our new small home on July 1st. It's exciting but also anxiety inducing, too many changes all at once! So I'm Tooting loads about that... 😊
I either Toot my fingers off, or I'll just lurk. I struggle with commenting on other people's toots, it's easier to reply to replies to my own toots. If that makes sense.
I'm trying to engage more. I try to boost when I can, but no Alt text means no boost...

It's almost two in the afternoon. An hour to go before I prepare to dive in my bed...
This day definitely had it's ups and downs...
This night and early morning, my brain was unstoppable! It. Just. Kept. Going!
And I kept writing and sharing as I needed an outlet (and I hoped to talk to Friendos about this all).
And then I felt super guilty, I had been spamming the FediVerse! What if people would all mute me now because I just won't shut up? 🤐
Walkies with Arwen were good, and also wet... Both for Arwen as for me. I picked up my parcel in town. I drove to my parents. Helped them with the new HBO app, they were devastated!
They marked the calendar with the new House of the Dragon series and then... They didn't know they needed to install the new app... So I did that this morning.
Taking mum to the hospital went well. Appointment went well. Drive back went well too 😉.
We walked the dogs, of course it was still very wet! Arwen and I headed home after that, had some food and then some relaxing...
I didn't exercise loads but I also ate way less... 😊
Now I'm watching LotR on HBO, unfortunately not the extended... Relaxing till it's time for bed, and catching up with you all here!

So I am on my way home from a quick grocery trip. Around 9 the person from the building coop will come for the first inspection...
It's messy for sure. But that wasn't a problem the lady on the phone had told me...
I have no idea what to expect and it drives me nuts.
I wanna prepare, know things in advance, have someone with me as I feel insecure...
But hey, it's just me and Arwen so I gotta do the adulting and all that.

Ello sweet and lovely Friendos 💜
Slowly going back to the usual business, well, sort of, I guess...
Had a lovely day yesterday and a decent sleep. The gym was OK enough and Arwen and I had a lovely walk just now.
Now we'll have to wait for our friend and their dog to be ready for walkies, which will be later than the last 5 days. So hopefully Arwen won't mind the extra wait...
And hopefully we can still get some lovely shots, even though we will miss the sunride now.
Some dishes will need my attention later today. And I'll need to get back to eating healthier and moving more, as my weight was slowly increasing again. And not in a good way 😉.
Ah well, let's ride the bike a bit while I write some more for my blog and while I watch some more Downton Abbey. And hopefully our friends will be ready early so we have enjoy some lovely walkies soon again.... 🐾

I really should use the boost button more 🤔
I do sometimes boost some toots from my different/other accounts.
But for some reason I'll just press the star 🌟 button on other toots, instead of boosting.
I was worried that if I'd boost too much, people could get annoyed with that. But... Then I remember that Masto has the option to hide people's boosted toots. So if I do boost too much or too silly things... People can just filter that! Duh 🫣
Now... What to boost every now and then? 😉
