Just so nobody gets the wrong idea from this account sharing wrong information. The Fediverse feature on Threads is NOT using any sort of "bridge" project. They are directly integrating ActivityPub into Threads, which is exactly how Fediverse works. A bridge is something that "bridges" 2 different protocols or systems. This is not that. There's no other system besides Fediverse at play here.

It's not, I don't think. They speak in broken English and don't understand the meanings of questions. I dabbled in AI quite a bit and tbh, it's more intelligent.😬
But, the reason you can't see your content on mastodon, is simply because Meta has not allowed such thing yet. There's some work left to be done on Quote Posts and limiting them as well as replies and I think Meta might wait for those to be fully functional on Fediverse but this is just a guess based on what I've observed.

I've unfollowed. They are literally working against what I am fighting so hard to do, which is give people correct, factual, useful information about Fediverse, Threads' integration with it and why it's a good thing.😔
Maybe I should make a new, non personal account named Fediverse.Information or something similar to counteract this massive issue...
Opinions? Really would appreciate some advice here. For clarity, I am referring to the "Fediverse" account that's been misused.

They're working on this, but my feeling is that they will wait for Mastodon to add quote posts and limiting them before doing that. Which, given the small team of developers (There's only a handful right now, I believe) it could take as long as the fall before that happens.

Maybe I've been annoying Threads with my Fediverse advocating. I feel like I'm suppressed or something.😬1 out of every 5 of my posts gets a like or two.
I got lucky with the BridgyFed announcement and got some engagement because of that, and I'm pretty grateful the algorithm decided to bless me that day. All hail the magic algorithm!🤦‍♂️

Well, Quote Post limiting is live, but not available for Fediverse posts, because Quote Posts aren't available yet there, much less limiting them. Also, limiting replies is toxic and harbors misinformation behavior.
However, be warned, if you quote post me with tomfoolery nonsense, you will get that same energy back. I'll just link your post to my 900 followers there and it's MUCH easier to go viral. So...your move, I guess.

This is HUGE! Ryan Barrett, a talented dev, has just launched the BlueSky-Fediverse bridge known as Bridgy Fed!
This allows users on Fediverse (mastodon and other platforms besides threads, for now) and BlueSky to opt-in to have their posts shared cross-platform!
This is just another massive achievement for the future of social media! Hopefully once Threads fully integrates the Fediverse, this will possibly bridge Threads too! 🥳🥳🥳Fediverse is the future of social media!

The Fediverse is HERE, no need to go to another platform if you're a US/Japan/Canada user. Just go to Settings > Account > Fediverse beta. Then the 10-15m people on those platforms can follow you...an open social network is the best for everyone!

This is gonna be my last post on Threads for now.
I am only here to advocate for Fediverse sharing, but due to today's interactions with some employees coupled with their bad faith "are you sure you still want Fediverse sharing?" notification, I no longer am confident that their integration will come full circle in good faith.

The dark pattern is simply making users second guess Fediverse integration. I don't see how the dialog box ya'll have added serves any purpose besides to ask users to turn it off, without using that language. It seems very "in bad faith" because you don't have a dialog box that automatically pops up asking users that don't have it on to try it...😬

I have my own instance that has already been reviewed and approved for federation ([https://social.beaware.live](https://social.beaware.live/)) but, I am coming to realize that Mastodon moderation features aren't up to my standard so I'm thinking about migrating to Sharkey, possibly on a different domain. My question is, if I migrate and make a *new* instance with Sharkey, is there something I have to do to get re-reviewed and approved again for federation?

Mastodon has it's issues. It's good to "get your feet wet" in the Fediverse and see what it's all about, but a lot of folks end up switching to a different software or at least a different instance besides the main mastodon.social because of a number of glaring issues they have with moderation and just overall management of their own project.🤷‍♂️
