If you use a pkdns server you can use my WoT relay with the URL ws://xiqz1bc7xmiw9kz8n8j6epbwnww59nibd9f7175cwd1jz6kmcdko/
Your client should support ws:// but with Amethyst no problem.
I run a pkdns DNS on: 66.78.40.76
Put this IP into custom DNS of my Mullvad VPN and voila it works.
The pkarr domain can be resolved.
So in my opinion it's a easy setup.

Ok, I have now read through the entire https://pubky.org/ page.
Every inquisitive person should do so.
For now #pubky feels very organised and well prepared and hope for more one-click installers that are easier to use than Nostr relays.
I like Nostr a lot, but have always been on the lookout for the weak points that OrangedMike has always emphasised.
I don't really care which technology prevails in which way. In the end, it will have to be proven where the best measures were in place in the event of censorship attacks.
I'm a simple user who wants to try everything and won't mince my words to comment on how the installation experience was or what pain in the arse it is or why I think my privacy is in danger (with Nostr, it is risky if you use it wrong.)
And let's be honest, how often do we uninstall an app and switch to something new because it's just better designed (backend/frontend)? This can also happen to Nostr. It always has been and always will be.
You choose the best money once, but an app for communication and data? Why should that be set in stone?

If your container opens a port to the outside, then you can use an Nginx proxy to serve this port from 127.0.0.1 on a domain.
In this example here, a Haven relay is running on port 3355 in a Docker container. The port is exposed to the outside. My Nginx server then serves this port with SSL and a domain.

Yes, absolutely. That wasn't meant to be an attack on it either. Rather, I have a lot of thoughts buzzing around in my head at the moment and I'm trying to question my behaviour and my attitude as to whether it was brought up at school and is therefore state-imposed good behaviour to fulfil a function that is not at all good for us humans.

The new version of ‘RUN go mod download’ took a very long time for me. There may be dependencies in the download that take a little longer.

Um es nochmal zusammenzufassen:
Amber auf Android als Signier-Software für seine Nostr-Keys zu verwenden und sein nsec nirgends mehr in andere Software oder Clients einzugeben ist genau die bitcoin-art.
Amethyst unterstützt das bunker:// Protokoll. Also brauchen wir auch nicht mehr dort unser nsec einfach so blank eingeben.
Andere Clients ziehen nach und auch dort ist Nostr-Connect mit Amber dann möglich.
iOS-User schauen mal wieder in die Privatsphäre-Röhre. Die könnten aber so etwas wie nsec.app benutzen, welches dein nsec im lokalen Storage des Browsers hält, um dann über das bunker:// Protokoll Events zu signieren.
Also Ziel ist es so gut es geht, nur noch eine Applikation als Signier-Software und in Zukunft noch besser sogar Hardware-Signatur-Geräte, für Nostr zu verwenden.

To summarise briefly:
The election was not secret. Anyone can look up the events on the relays we use and check whether the respective nostr keys have also voted for the person in question.
The election was not yet super decentralised, as we only used our own internal relays because I was experimenting with two new event kinds. I would like to find out from real Nostr developers whether this was at all useful and whether someone can build a professional NIP or something similar from it. The storage format is also open to discussion. For the time being, I pragmatically used something that worked for me.
So we're talking more about a first proof of concept attempt to see how it works without email etc. In other words, we validate Nostr accounts and see whether it really is our active members who are signing Nostr events.
The whole issue of whether a Nostr key has been compromised is not yet part of this.

I have simply invented two new custom kinds. The president was a replaceable event 32122 and the confirmation of the board members was an event 2121.
I used simple ‘content’ to store which pubkey has voted how: $note->setContent(‘$pubkey,$type’);
This can be rubbish and would be better packaged professionally in a NIP design.
I'm not sure how to do this ‘properly’ with a NIP.

Nsec direkt eingeben geht tatsächlich nicht. Das wäre zu unsicher. Es geht NSEC.APP dort liegt es dann im local storage deines Browsers. Aber morgen im Detail mehrm liege schon im Bett :)
Amber und Co fungieren als Signatur-App, also genau wie auch Software Bitcoin Wallets funktionieren.
