Yeah.
There are a few 'pushy vegans' out there, who try to turn any meal into a lecture on agricultural animal abuse. But i have seen far FAR more pushy carnivores who mock and shame anyone who is considering Meatless Mondays.
And these pushy carnivores LOVE to paint vegetarians/vegans as so utterly obnoxious that it becomes a moral duty to knock them down a few pegs.

Funny how that is said about either black or white people, and how one of these variants is considered very gross and racist and victim-blame-y, while the other variant is 'haha, and now these lazy assholes dare complain about being poor'

We'd like to believe the oppressed always 'come back and fight harder than ever', but that does not always happen when the violence was really massive, it is possible to crush a populace.

This was pretty much my latest job interview. I couldn't be arsed to even finish it (didn't need the job that hard), so I just told the recruiter it was a bad fit and logged off.

My take on it is that either you choose to trust the system or you don't: if you don't than no amount of re-telling will convince you that Trump lost, if you do than reasonable precautions are enough.

There has been women's suffrage, there has been black liberation, there has been minimum wage and 40h workweek: change is not about 1 person or about a cool oneliner but about a whole bunch of people all saying 'no more!!', and you don't even need an all-out civil war (communist revolution) to force that change.

From the 'empty land' myths around communities who held land in communal (usually at the level of villages) ownership instead of personal ownership, to an unforgiving might-makes-right doctrine and plantation systems on different continents that were full of forced labor.
When you look back at how colonialism and capitalism were sold there is so much ideological overlap. Always this idea that 'this is just how the world works, because of evolution'
