Even if it were true (and I'm not saying it is), WTF cares? Do you know how hard it is to process information on the fly like that and then apply it within seconds against a rambling debate opponent? Even if this were to be true, I'd be deeply impressed.
This isn't a fucking sports competition. It's not like the president is ever (or should ever) go into any kind of negotiation without lots of prep and knowledgable advisors in the room.

That's because uncertainty in any area is seen as weakness. It's also the reason someone like Trump's lies are so well-received: he tells them with absolute certainty and confidence, and that is received in American culture as strength.

Some people just aren't built to deal with that level of complexity. Either they can't or they just plain don't wanna. And that's fine, it really is. Not everyone needs to earn a PhD. But the wheels come off the wagon when the laypeople start insisting that their simplicity is just as or more valid than the expert's expertise.

It's like that old joke about how college professors tend to tell you to forget everything you learned in high school because it's way more complicated than that. Some people revolt against that because they take comfort in simplicity and stability.
See also: "The World may change, but God and the BIble never, ever change." 🙄 To some people that's a selling point; to me it's a mark of stubborn ignorance.

There is absolutely a subculture of men who bond over using women for sex and status. At the end of the day, it's really about how men construct their own social status around these things. I never understood how anyone could live like that, but I know people do.

I don't know who Reneé Rapp is, but I saw Jaime Pressly on Mom for the first time last night (Hulu) and I could not take my eyes off her. I kept having to rewind to listen to what she was actually saying. So there's that.
