Turns out! The jabber package, an XMPP client, was calling it! I never use it so I took it out.
Good stuff to learn about, anyway.

"Package starttls is deprecated"
I get this message every time I start Emacs. What does it mean? I have googled with all my might but I cannot find anything that explains what could replace this package, or why it's deprecated.
Every example configuration for using Emacs to send via SMTP presumes the use of this package, regardless of the mail client.
What am I getting wrong?

Just searched DuckDuckGo for a portrait of Dick Feynman for a lecture. THE RESULTS ARE POLLUTED WITH STABLE DIFFUSION GARBAGE.
Super low quality, low resolution, unworldly, laughable overall, easily spotted. As of August 2024.
