Does it matter what they are? I don't buy either Nft's or Ordinals as it is not my kinda thing but.... Nft's are just receipts to a picture on a server so I think as art that is pointless as all you own is a receipt to something that may not be there. Are inscriptions on Btc different because they are actually inscribed on the Sat?
You wouldn't know it was there unless you were looking for it and highly unlikely that the inscription would be pruned off by not keeping the signature data and reaching consensus.
I clearly am no expert on any of this, but don't see a problem with it as cannot see how it will change Btc in any way. Neither for or against the idea of inscriptions and believe it will probably just stay in a small proportion of the Sat's and not change Bitcoin in any way.
Happy to be enlightened if anyone thinks that I am wrong. I just think it all seems a big nothing burger.

As for anything to do with altcoins and yield gain. There is no need. Buy hold and spend bitcoin rather then investing in centralised shit coins that are designed to steal the wealth of others for the few in charge and their friend's.

That seems to be the same for non paying relays. I cannot see other feeds I do not follow on amethyst but can check out global on Iris. I agree that sometimes this does seem slow for me though.

Dumb question time again! So I just downloaded this app from the app store and it just work's. I can send and receive note's which is cool
Now am I using someone else's node or relay to do this?
Should I be setting up something else to further decentralise Nostr?
I mean I've heard that when you use someone else's node to send bitcoin you are giving away ip adress etc. Is this the same?

Wow, so I randomly just got sent 50 sats, I guess via the link in my profile. This is actually awesome. Really impressed with how nostr works after seeing messages on twitter saying it was an awful experience. I ignored nostr at first thinking it must be difficult to set up. Turns out it is just downloading an app from the play store and away you go. Nostr and Bitcoin is the future, just Wow!
