#a11y people: I have a situation whereby a user returning to a tab in the browser, the content has changed - and there's a dismissable element visibly shown. I've added detail to explain what it is and how it's dismssed, but I'm unsure where the screenreader would be focused when it returned to the tab - whether it's stateful or not.
I wondered if live region might be something I want, but I'm really not sure.
Any suggestions?

If you're a UK webbie like myself, cares about the web, and is progressively minded, All Day Hey is an event you'll want to attend.
It's a trek for me to get to Leeds (from Brighton) but I keep doing it every year because the event is full of inspiration and love. Amazing talks (proven by the fact that you'll find FFConf has hosted some of the same speakers), amazing place, amazing people.

Amazon will remove the ability to download the ebooks for Kindle at the end of the month. So if you ever close your amazon account, you'll no longer be able to access the books you had bought.
Let's fix that:

The bit you'll need is the kindle serial (from amazon's site), then you can convert to epub

At some point I'm going to need a thermal camera because the chips on the boards I'm messing around with are getting very hot and the way I keep finding out is by randomly burning my fingers on them.
