The disconnection between Americans and the state of the world always amazes me. It's as if Americans live on a different planet.
Their master (Israel) is engaging in useless and dangerous provocations in the Middle East day after day after day, killing over 42k people in less than a year and bombing four countries simultaneously and looking to add the fifth.
We are in the brink of a new world war (a hot one) which will drag the US to it whether it liked it or not. Yet the general feel in US media is nowhere near that.
What's even worse is seeing bitcoiners who are pro-genocide. You would think their journey in bitcoin would give them an edge in understanding how imperialism works or how fiat system enables mass murderers, but no. They are stuck in their minds which was literally occupied by the Zionists.

Well the Muslims did it back then and it was a success. If you're rich you lend interest-free with cost/gain sharing model. Why would you do that? Because your nominal stack of money will be depleted every year by 2.5% because of the obligatory Zakat (wealth tax). Great podcast. I still think projects like Fedi should come with a fire-starter kit, a way for users to quickly exchange their fiat to btc and onto the federations. Think paid version that gives you the equivalent in btc in return. I'm sure the team at Fedi had thought about that.

Really cool hardware wallet @npub1sg6…f63m. I really hope to see lightening and nostr integration, UTXO management, privacy mode, segregated wallets and inheritance support (maybe fingerprints of my family members to access the fund after a certain period?).
Bitkey has so much potential to be THE wallet for 99% of hodlers.

I do believe that bitcoin is one super app away from mainstream adoption. The open source app should theocratically allow for cheap sats stacking, be user friendly, non-kyc and international with multiple languages.

I tried it but got stuck with KYCs. An official ID was not enough apparently. Those frictions, while understandable, are what hinder progress I think. But overall I liked the interface and ease of creating a purchase. Better than Moonpay for example.

If fees/spread are similar to those of P2P platforms (3-4%?) but come with direct single option to just buy BTC & send to wallet, without dealing with 3rd parties, I think it will be a huge deal.
Many people would stomach the high fees if it means they can buy easily at anytime/anywhere.
I envision it as a last resort portal to escape fiat for those who are unable to use centralized exchanges.

An international KYCed or non-KYCed platform, open to all nationalities, where you can use your day-to-day credit/debit cards or wire transfers to buy BTC through Lightning and sell back to it. It can also host a marketplace (think ebay) where people can sell their stuff for BTC and start accumulating it.
Sounds too extreme to be feasible but this is the only way for a wider adoption and ultimately a true open & decentralized world.
