@npub1ars…8ymw in actual fact, with some APT in here the effective resolution of those areas is much less, and the LRPT is technically good quality but over-compressed compared to HRRT.

Hello Mastodon! What do we think about people doing ragchews when SOTAing/other awarding?
Myself, I think if you're calling an award you should be aware that either the CQ or you alerting online is going to make people's desktop PCs and smartphones buzz (if they're set up for that). Chatting for minutes at a time when folk are waiting is such a frustrating waste of time.
I've just given up on a 1 point chase after ten minutes. It's 1 point, screw that. I have things to do.

I made this yesterday, it's a 4 frame animation of the huge low pressure system off the U.K. and Ireland. It's made up of 4 separate 1.7 GHz HRPT passes over two hours from NOAA 19, Metop C and Meteor M2-3. I'm really happy with it.
