Curious as to how much you pay. Heard that North American (especially US) mobile plans are stupid expensive compared to lots of the rest of the world.
I currently have 2 SIM only plans on the same account an unlimited (including tethering) data,call and text @ £18 gbp per month. I have that in a 4g router as my home internet. My other SIM is in my phone 8gb Data, Unlimited calls and text @ £6.30 gbp per month. Both prices include a 10% discount because the account has more than 1 SIM.

Its the old prevention paradox.
Prevent something bad from happening and the massive effort gets ignored or even worse the danger that was prevented is played down.
Same reasons measles and the like are on the rise

I really hate having a task that needs done but the timeframe is discretionary.
Laundry is a classic.
I know it needs done in the next few days but cant be arsed.
I usually just flick a switch in my head that I am gonna do it now. I find the act of doing that makes me instantly feel better about it because I know the task will soon be done and off my radar until the next time it needs done.

This begs the question (sic)
Is a TV simply a monitor with a tuner?
Or
Is a Monitor a TV without a tuner?
Answers on a postcard.
When I first started using a PC I missed the fact that a monitor did not have a tuner on it.
I was so used to waiting for my Speccy to load cassette games that I would retune and watch TV for the duration of a load.
So when a PC (in 1990) was doing an install, format or other lengthy process you just had to watch it do it.

I have philosophical objection to charity as a concept.
The idea that there is a need which needs to be met, but it will depend upon the 'arbitrary accidental kindness' of strangers for it to be met does not sit well with me.
The example I always give is the Royal British Legion which if it were simply a ex-services social organisation would be fine. But has a massive charity element that shouldn't be necessary.
All Gov'ts rely on charity to do stuff the state should do.

This purely mutual grandstanding by her AND the Labour Party.
She wanted to leave in a big public huff and the Labour Party were happy to have her as another weapon to beat Sunak.
As I understand it she is not standing in the GE, so the prospective candidate for Dover will be unaffected.

Written a #Z80 routine on #ZXSpectrum that enlarges the ROM #Font to 4 times the normal size but instead of using a 4x4 pixel enlargement it uses 3x3 plus 1 pixel space. It gives a nice effect. A custom Font or different pixel design up to 4x4 pixels can also be used.
