#TomWaits version of #Somewhere (from #WestSideStory ) is one of those rare tracks so steeped in yearning & melancholy & burst open at the seams humanity that if someone doesn’t ‘get’ it, I no longer feel they have anything to do with me. @npub1437…ranm they look like “work enhancers” - I think the idea is you are supposed to take them an hour or so before going to work or before operating heavy machinery & they help with focused concentration, analysis and reasoning - I could be wrong though, my mycological skills are very limited.

Never did find out who used to DJ on “The Night Train” on #Brighton Festival Radio circa 1993/94 but it was a great show & I often listened all night to the rolling scree of earlyish (ugh) #IDM & other electronic oddities.
