This comes across as cope.
A dollar bill can be scribbled on to a point it is no longer usable as money and a monument can be defaced so badly it is no longer recognisable.
We've seen what happens when you reduce efforts against people who attack our monuments and open the door to them. They pull them down and throw them in rivers, or melt them down in furnaces, destroyed forever.
When some radicals attack your monuments you don't throw your hands up and say maybe it just wasn't as valuable as we thought, you increase patrols and throw out harsh penalties to make it harder for them.
Core are doing the former and trying to negotiate with terrorists instead of the latter and telling them to fuck off and doing what they can to prevent harm.
It the same suicidal altruism and cowardice that has destroyed the West playing out here. Grow a backbone and defend the good thing we have before it's ruined.

Yep, bitcoin is money as the white paper stated, and that is the intention of the protocol.
Censorship and spam filtration are not the same thing.
Censorship is X node/wallet/address cannot broadcast transactions to my mempool.
Spam filtration is I will not include non financial transactions in my mempool, even if they are otherwise protocol compliant.
The irony is with knots you can do whatever you like because it's completely configurable. You could set mempool policy to only include non-financial transactions if that was your desire.

I dont think it will cause a hard fork but this kind of war will have to be re-fought repeatedly if we want to keep bitcoin as a decentralised money.
The less decentralised it becomes and the less money it becomes, the more risk that bitcoin fails to deliver what we all want it to.

We should still make spam as difficult as possible to mitigate the Blockchain being used as free data storage. Filters are the main tool to do this.
We aren't on a bitcoin standard and people will use abundant fiat to pay people to shove crap into the Blockchain, causing unnecessary competition against people using bitcoin as money (the intended purpose of the protocol)
A junk transaction is protocol valid but if it is not a legitimate financial transaction and we should attempt to filter it, the same way we filter junk emails, junk mail, junk nostr posts, etc

I recently started using qBittorent in a docker container, that only allows traffic through another container using gluetun so it all passes through a VPN without affecting the host network.

Yes, I'd say that there has always been a subset of women with this temperament but only with modern technology and ideology have they been able to engage in these occupations. Hey Gary, I appreciate your response and think you have a good point there. My issue with seperating the Bible from church history is that it leaves everything up to interpretation and gets muddled up with mistranslation. My priest recommended an Orthodox study Bible for English speakers which is essentially a king James translation but with notes adding context to the passages, highly recommend.
Ultimately I think it's great more people are turning to, or back to, Christianity. #orthodoxy #orthodoxstr

Yeah I totally understand that, I'm lucky to have family ties in the community and the priests always introduceme to other converts. Even if you manage to attend just to check it out I'd highly recommend.
And yes you are correct about the Pope, most Catholics really don't like the current Pope and say the church has always had bad popes, but the individual popes are not the infallible part, it's the the papacy and what it teaches. My point goes more to the church history and whether the infallibility of the papacy has any justification and I don't believe it does.

There are plenty of men that want these features too. Yes we are all adults and can deal with people being rude online or seeing adult content that we might not be interested in. That doesn't mean we want to see child porn and other horrific content. We can understand the need to for an open protocol while still wanting tools to curate our experiences online, they aren't mutually exclusive. We want to build a better internet that can be safe for kids, enjoyable for women and for men who aren't interested in seeing porn without having to hand over authority to big tech. I married into a Greek Orthodox family as a non believer and developed more of an interest in Christianity over the last few years. I wanted to do my research on denominations so started with Anglicanism being an Englishman and all, but all you have to do is look at the CoE to see how well that is going. Protestantism didn't make any sense as they seem to think you only need the Bible, not the church, but it was the church that constructed the Bible, so for me it came down to Catholicism and Orthodoxy. Long story short is whether you agree with the infallibility of the papacy and I don't think the evidence in favour holds up. Orthodoxy follows the ways of the church pre schism, even most Catholics agree on that but think the papacy has authority to change things. Thats why I leant into Orthodoxy and haven't regretted it one bit. As for the service in Greek, my church does Saturday service in English as there are other English converts and other non Greek attendees and the other services in Greek are still lovely, the same way a traditional Latin mass would be for Catholics. I would definitely encourage you to check out your local Orthodox Church 🙏🏻☦️
