An Irish soda bread recipe I tried out recently, I was so happy to find a high altitude baking site! The soda bread I usually made doesn't work at the high altitude I live at now, so I was very pleased to see this recipe turned out great! 😁
I added fresh rosemary and cranberries to it as currants aren't in season yet.
Soda bread usually has currants but recipes vary, I hear it's much like how every Southerner has a different way of making sweet tea, they're many ways of doing it

Quite a fascinating topic of Irish history. Hedge schools are one of the many reasons the Irish language even survived past the penal laws period of Irish history. That, and some very dedicated people. Once the language is forced out/ lost the occupying "colonizing" power has pretty much won. Thank you, my grandma has no idea as of yet, it's the perfect lightness for indoor air conditioning level of chill. She lives down in the hot humid south so, a light shawl is all she needs really. I love the color scheme too it's a nice self striping yarn so the colors change without having to end the row, cut your ends and add a new color. It takes out some of the time consuming steps which is nice.

Yes to be honest I'm nervous about it myself but with all the information on specific Characteristics and where they grow etc. It also identifies the lookalikes and how to tell the difference by specific details.

It was hearty and yeah I find that sourdough is easier on the stomach for those with minor gluten allergies. Not scientifically sure if thats true though it's just something I notice store bread bothers me but not homemade bread

Lol its that time of year down there, nothing new. anybody living on the gulf coast knows and has enough sense to rinse off after being out in that water it's a warmer climate of course there's more bacteria and other creepy crawly crap.
