My relationship with long videogames

In the past I couldn't, for the life of me, commit myself to playing long games (i.e. 30+ hours) because I fell out of interest and dropped the game.
Lately I started playing two "long" (always keep in mind that this adjective is used by my perspective) games: Red Dead Redemption 2 and Mass Effect 1 (the legendary edition) and weirdly enough, seems like they're sticking with me because I'm alternating one or another throughout the gaming sessions.
I don't know if this pattern will be able to help me with other games as well or if it's just peculiar to those two specific games but I'm crossing my fingers 🤞
Have any of you had a similar experience?

You should be able to see all (and if not all it will take a bit more time) the media now :)
Even if the server is quite chonky hardware-wise, cache rebuilding is slow (by design, sadly)

oops, seems like I completely missed this poll.
Back at the time I chose English after looking through Twitch statistics. Most of the Italian public is keen to observe contents that I'd never produce (mainly Warzone, FIFA, talking about football and/or marathons) in a way I'd never do (excessive swearing - bestemmie per gli italofoni, dissing etc.)
It was hard collimating my TZ with most of the native English speakers but I sorta made it 😅

So, seems like that Copycat will be truly a heavyweight punch in the guts.
Played only half an hour and got to the point of starting unraveling something more about the story after a brief sorta tutorial, but had to stop due to a knot forming in my throat.
This will definitely be a heavy experience, I hope it will be good too. Runs extremely well on the Steam Deck too, which is a huge bonus

Closed the final chapter of Valiant Hearts: Coming home.
While the game is shorter than the first game, it hits harder right in the feels.
I was delighted and a bit surprised they chose to dedicate this new chapter to the Harlem Hellfighters, a piece of our history we often forget and now more than ever we should keep always in mind and near our hearts.

I haven't done anything "MMO" in the game yet so I'll leave aside that part for the time being, but:
- combat: similar to an A-RPG or Lost Ark if you played it
- visuals: 10+
- progression: linear progression through the region quest-line, doing a bit of this and a bit of that
I'm still on the edge tho as I'm seeing some mid-to-heavy farming mechanics for upgrading weapon/armor/skills which can easily result in P2W

So, uhm... I may or may not have missed the note which told about the new allied races requirements for older expansions and so I alt-leveled two toons just to discover I didn't need to do that anymore.
Apparently, after reaching level 40/50 every allied race quest is automatically available in your capital embassy.
Had fun, didn't matter.

I fully agree. While I understand avoiding what it's considered universally wrong (see our zero tolerance toot about our instance), I feel like most of the decentralized network is moving to a far too extreme stance instead of a moderated one.
I may be wrong, of course, it's just my starting point of view, that could be biased or in need of more discussions
