Is there a way to migrate _from_ Alma _to_ CentOS Stream?
I want/need newer builds of Podman to do quadlets properly, I don't do much else, so the risk of stuff breaking is quite low.
Can I just add CentOS repositories, upgrade and remove Alma ones? Quick 🦆 search didn't return anything useful.
Talking latest Alma 9.4 to Stream 9.

Before I start creating something from scratch, do you have a recommendation to a TLS setup for a local network? Several servers, several clients.
Do I set up a CA and import certs to all devices on the network?
Can I use the cert for my domain.org I got from a public CA to create my own certs for local-only subdomain.domain.org? Is there a simple (!) tooling for this so I don't have to script it myself?

@npub14d3…7npp I read https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/Golang several times.
There's a lot of information in there (maybe too much). I know it is necessary for the breadth of things specs need to support, but it is quite overwhelming. I wanted to create binary .rpm locally, without pushing it to Fedora/EPEL repos, but the docs mix it together.
Originally coming from pure-Python world, setuptools (https://setuptools.pypa.io/en/latest/userguide) are very easy to navigate. It's more structured & explicit, both docs and the .toml format.

Oh my god, why is Linux packaging so difficult, if you are starting from scratch and with no previous experience.
Both RPM and DEB packaging process is just more difficult then it should be. Python figured it out with single simple pyproject.toml (and PEP 723 on its way).
For RPM, you need a spec file with not-so-clearly documented macros -- WHY??
