I got to drive a Porsche Panamera. It was a very well made car but felt very big and heavy. I found out it’s based on a platform it shares with Bentley. If you think of the Panamera as the sporty affordable Bentley it seems like a cooler car.

@npub1wj8…yl3g I read the cross tabs/white paper for the oil in question and many who are critisising this poll clearly haven’t read the white paper and are writing things about it that are simply untrue. People are saying it over samples republicans, leaving aside how dumb of a criticism this is, it actually over samples democrats.
I keep reading people say stuff about this poll on social media but can’t find the artiscle where these claims are mad.

The time sienna poll has a great track record and they are famous for publishing outlier polls where other pollsters don’t publish polls that are far out of what everyone else is reporting. Harris is not Beating trump unless you live in a filter bubble. This is a close election and all objective pieces of information we have shows that.
I would be more inclined to not believe SF Gate’s political coverage than NYT’s. People are freaking out over one poll.

After a month of having my #meshtastic radio I had a car pass by last week. Today for the first time two nodes popped up from home for the first time. I tried driving around town and getting in touch with them, but I couldn't connect anywhere. I set up both of my nodes and hopefully I make contact.

@npub1ya2…x9ty I preordered one. My use case is I keep my node with a good antenna and battery life in my car with an external antenna but my luggage tag node just has to reach to the parking lot. I also then have two radios with me in case of an emergency.

Great video on how radio BBS work on #meshtastic. It’s very cool. It all works from the meshtastic texting interface with 255 byte messages. It allows you to send messages even if someone is off line. They can pick up their messages from the BBS network at a later time. Weird off grid radio BBS.

#Mastodon massive and #CDRom/#RetroComputing hobbists I need your help. I want to get a heavy usb CD ROM drive for my computer so it doesn’t slide around. I figure I might as well get something that’s interesting to look at. I was looking at a 2000s era Iomega. Does anyone know of a relatively fast external sub CD rom drive that looks neat and perhaps essoteric. They make cool purple one but it’s only 6x speed.

I just got back from seeing the Fit. WOW! This car is great. It's basically 99% rust free on the tub/frame. He has every single receipt, all from the local honda dealership and tires from a local tire shop. Only receipt he doesn't have is for the recent brake job.
He says most of the miles are from his dad's commute, which is a short local drive to warm the car up and then on a highway for a 60 mile reverse commute so no stoping and starting.

This is a pretty fucking wild paper that came out a few days ago. Language models can use fMRI imagining to read our minds. This has real world medical applications, but I can’t help but worry what will happen when repressive governments, the military, and law enforcement get this kind of technology. This is really straight out of science fiction and I’m not sure it’s getting popular press.
