@nprofile…yg87 I too think Siracusa and you are in a way competitors in writing style with great and friendly sportsmanship.
Looking at the "large screenshot" i remember how impressed i was of the design and especially the wooden skeumorphic bookshelf. As beautiful as it was back in the good old steve jobs days, it looks very dated and i wouldn't want skeumorphism today. i think apple jumped the proverbial shark with Contacts' corinthian leather. A bygone time to appreciate but move on from.

@npub15ml…2w4s Turns out it was happening in Safari 16 on Ventura as well, according to several google results and reddit posts. This is what it looks like to me. I recently switched from norwegian to english in OS settings, and it got more pronounced due to Visual look up" being added as well to "copy subject". Are you not experiencing this?

@npub15ml…2w4s have you noticed that the new context menu in Safari on Sonoma is very jumpy? Whenever I right click an image, two new items pop up in the context menu, one after the other in a staccato manner: "Copy subject" and "Look up" (visual look up). They get added half a second after the context menu has appeared. This makes it difficult to click the "open in new tab" because it jumps away from my cursor as the "copy subject" and "Look up" pops in. any way to disable that, you think?

@npub1cuf…6f4c #askatp Stuttery, jittery scrolling on Macs without ProMotion: I recently bought the iMac M1 16gb ram + 512gb ssd and noticed that scrolling in Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Music library and Photos library produces an occational stuttery and jittery scrolling animation, as if the frame rate drops. I turned off ProMotion on my MBP 14, and noticed the same micro stutters as on the iMac M1. ProMotion masks it somehow. Have you noticed this on XDR and Studio display or MBP Air? Any way to fix it?
