it sounds slightly insane, but being a dad has a huge element of intellectual vs. experiential knowledge. you know its your baby, you know you’re the dad, you would throw yourself in front of a train for the baby, obviously, but that becomes experiential knowledge over time.

the anti-masonic implications and perhaps even direct references in the book of mormon were taken as so obvious that it was actually used as a talking point against its authenticity: that it was so obviously pumping anti-masonry that it had to be a product of current politics.

mormon scripture and cosmology (imo) essentially has the concept of conspiracy (as in conspiracy theories) woven directly into it. in the book of mormon they’re called “secret combinations”. in fact in some of joseph smith’s work cain is basically in one of these with satan.

you cant reallly escape the linguistics thing. when someone says “i got diagnosed with XYZ”, what 99% of people hear is “i have XYZ”. but thats literally not what that statement means. it literally just means a person diagnosed you with that - that a person determined that.
