@npub1src…fms4 That does not sound like it would be a ton of work. Android has had an API to do that for ages while simultaneously also allowing third party home screens.
Maybe I'd accept their explanation if they announced plans to add that functionality in a future update.

@npub1src…fms4 The whole "new security model" argument is kind of bullshit. PWAs don't really have that many capabilities, that regular websites don't get. It's basically just about adding an icon to the home screen and launching without an URL bar. How exactly does that need "a new security model"?
