Was quite pleased to find someone had dumped a pallet not far from my house. Free wood etc.
I've just realised they probably put it there because they know someone in this row upcycles pallets into stuff. In the past few months I've knocked on a few doors asking if I can have the pallet outside their house.
It seems I have a reputation.

I don't normally share Kickstarter stuff on here, and I'm not connected to them at all, but this looks very cool.
Imagine a laptop with screen, keyboard, touchpad and battery but with no compute, storage or RAM. That's provided by the phone/SBC/Linux/Win/Mac device you plug into it.

I am informed it is #internationaldogday so here is our pooch, Isla.
We adopted her from a rescue shelter in Spain and she has lived in the UK for the past two and a half years. So I think that qualifies her as an international dog 😉

Got to see #Starlink launching satellites over #Malta the other day. It was surreal and incredible in equal measure.
Didn't get any photos or video but there is some online (https://www.reddit.com/r/malta/comments/1dmu4zq/what_was_the_flying_object_that_just_flew_over/)
I've also seen/read enough (DrWho, Kingsman being the most recent) to know that a private enterprise, headed by a megalomaniac, launching a network of comms satellites around the earth is going to work out just fine.

Do you remember the 1980s Altman #Popeye movie starring Robin Williams? You must be old but the set still exists as a theme park of sorts in #Malta. Nothing particular and a tad expensive unless you spend all day in the water park but it is amazing that it is still standing 40 years later.

Our cats broke our ceramic fruit bowl so I made a new one. I don't have access to a lathe so (as much as I wanted to) turning one was not an option.
Instead I went for this octagon basket design.
Made from reclaimed wood and some (new) 9mm dowels.

Each generation shakes its head smiling at the way the one before uses tech. e.g. I did when my Dad spoke louder on the phone if he thought you were further away.
I've discovered my kids do this when I use 👍 and/or punctuation in messages. 🙄
It's weird being the same age as old people.
