Especially when I try to focus on and boost only positive, heartwarming, and useful toots, and judiciously mute or block those who are especially obnoxious or aggressive. And at times I even relish the messiness that’s inherent in an unruly orchard of freezed peaches!

- Heard donations on the show from local people, found them on NAS, and started hanging out as friends IRL.
- And, most importantly for me lately, as a former agnostic, I’ve found much encouragement here in my faith journey towards God. ☀️✨🌻☦️
Admittedly, I sometimes have trouble resisting doom-scrolling at length or engaging in unproductive interactions. Nonetheless, my experiences on NAS are overwhelmingly positive.

It’s that time of year: mice are trying to move into the house. :P
What’s been the most effective bait you’ve used on a snap trap?
I’ve had semi-decent success in the past with half a grape twist-tied to the bait plate. (I read somewhere that they seek out moisture as much as food.) Peanut butter or cheese never seem to work nearly as well.
But I’m eager to try other baits! Or other methods altogether (besides poison or sticky traps).

Religious exemptions for flu vaxxes:
A Christian friend is trying to figure out how to avoid his workplace’s flu vaxx mandate. He successfully avoided the coof jab, since it used fetal cells, with a religious exemption. He’s now looking for a solid religious rationale to reject the flu shots, which don’t contain fetal cells.
Any ideas?

I’m far too busy raising and educating children, raising and growing food, maintaining a home, and helping build the local community around me. I’ve lived all my life in the suburbs (even when it was a more remote mountain suburb), but have never felt as at home as I feel here on our farm. 🥰
We’ve only gone poultry mad so far. (About 100 chickens and ducks at the moment.) Since the dreaded alpha-gal got us shortly after arriving in Missouri, we’ve had to put off getting any mammals. But I hope to one day maybe get a donkey or mule or two for predator protection.

@npub1j8u…az5s — I understand your skepticism! I only believe it’s “real” from personal experience. I got very ill, figured it might be from my diet but couldn’t figure out a pattern, had a bunch of testing, and the only thing abnormal was a high alpha-gal antibody count.
So I quit eating all mammal food, and immediately began feeling better. I also avoid airborne exposures (smoke, steam).
I still wonder if alpha-gal is the whole explanation, but knowing about it has put me on a healthier track.
