I hate that this is true, but it is true, and something I often think about. I suspect a lot of folks in the US don't realise just how pervasive US culture is, certainly in Ireland and the UK, and how much of an effect it has on us. Same is true for UK politics and the effect on Ireland.

@npub1eee…e209 — The nurse is the really pointless one. eg an actually Irish actor would have loved that role. As I mentioned to @npub1hce…c5cz … if the gag is “famous actors doing bad Irish accents”, then have a famous Irish actor like Saoirse Ronan be the nurse. Even better would have been Paul Rudd doing a convincing accent, especially since he was co-lead in a show with Aisling Bea, who is Irish.
In terms of simply bad Irish accents, they’re both terrible 😂.

“Only Murders in the Building” is fun, but please, for the love of all that is Irish, please don’t ever ask a non-Irish actor to do an Irish accent unless it’s been approved by an Irish person. Asking for a nation.

I watched "The Last of Us Part 2" on YouTube and discovered the 2013 Pearl Jam song “Future Days", and then today discovered a Tito customer "Future Days" in Lisbon which looks really cool https://futuredays.io
I love a bit of serendipity like that.

Watching “The Last of Us” gameplay video to compare with the show. Main differences:
- characters much nicer to each other on the whole
- much more picking up of random objects

Best MacOS feature in decades?
The one where you click on the desktop and everything else disappears. Love it. Use it all the time. Just works. Always there when you need it. I'm here for features like that.
