it's like I got in the car and drove into an alternate universe - 99% of the time I'm the only one masked, this afternoon went to 3 stores and was nicely stunned to see around 25% of shoppers and staff masked, even kids!

As a Canadian looking in to the shit hole of the USA, and unfortunately probably knowing more about the US Constitution and role of government than most Americans -the recent SCOTUS rulings are in fact a coup against the separation of powers - they only give a President immunity to what 'they' will allow, and that will be arbitrary and pernicious depending on their warped sense of loyalty and power

almost dystopian surreal - my wife is a nurse, member of the Hospital Employees Union, she and colleagues tried to get a motion for PPE requirements and clean air to a floor vote, shot down before it could even reach board committee stage
same with teachers we know who tried to get a similar notion through the last BCTF collective agreement and the union would not touch it
