@npub1xc9…47v9 especially with the fact that these awful people are now (or soon? not sure if it's come into force yet) getting paid for any engagement and interactions they get for the awful things they say! if you disagree with them (like any decent person should) you can't respond or even view the tweet without it financially benefitting them

@npub1xc9…47v9 exactly! you don't have to be on there for longer than a couple of minutes now before you see one of the worst people on the planet saying the most disgusting things, there's only so much the block button can do (my blocklist was up to 3000+ before i finally just left)

majority of what i saw was andrew tate-esque "russell brand speaks out against the Establishment™ and Big Pharma™ that's why channel 4 are trying to deplatform him!!!!!" as if he hasn't been a creep for decades. if the dispatches thing does mention him i won't be surprised in the slightest

opened twitter for the first time in weeks because someone who didn't know i'd stopped using it sent me a message and just during those brief few minutes the amount of vile racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, and far right conspiracist drivel i saw was unreal, why is anyone still on there??

packing up all your belongings to move to the other side of the country is ve try stressful so i'm taking a break to look at bug pics from last weekend
some pieris (garden white) caterpillars we had to relocate from my uncle's greenhouse and what quite possibly was a queen buff tailed bumblebee! she was trapped in our conservatory so i took her outside where she enjoyed what's left of our flowers 🌺 🐝

another day, another butterfly! i haven't been lucky enough to see a common blue in my garden until now (although i thought i saw a flash of blue in the garden last week but it was gone before i could get a closer look, could have been this little lady!) 🦋
