imaging old IDE drives from my mother-in-law's house :p
the black one was noisy and 1GiB large, but no problem.
the gray one is super noisy, 1GiB, many errors but only in the first MB it seems!
had to get an (not so) old computer that still had a IDE port because I misplaced my IDE to USB2 adapter :p

@npub12jg…0gha Hmm doesn't this defeat centralization and E2EE to have one central authority that encrypts for every member?
Though I guess that would still be better than a Discord server for large public communities.

I think my preference for IM might be going to #Deltachat for now. I dislike that Signal wants a phone number and is centralized and won't let F-Droid build and distribute a client. Also, I've been using Matrix and operating a server for years and I was a fool it's bad and I want to quit.
Deltachat works with any email account and uses it for everything, it's basically E2EE chat over IMAP and SMTP using a subset of OpenPGP. It's simple, FOSS, works fine, has stickers!

The hinge for my VR headset broke… not entirely, so I just put a big blob of hot glue and it seems okay now. It's a Lenovo Explorer and its hinge is known for being weak.
I hope I manage to maintain it in working condition until I can get whatever Valve is cooking :x
