did a bit more testing with digtoise
if you can catch a digtoise alpha from the volcano dungeons, he will be your entire mining crew. he's so large his spins hit 4 ore nodes at once and he can clear out 8+ ore nodes by himself in about a quarter of a day
you are crippling your mining potential if you aren't using this glorious bastard

hey, do you remember when digtoise would deal 1-3 damage per tick to an ore node, and was kind of shit at mining? not as bad as a dumud, but still pretty crappy?
they fixed the everloving FUCK out of that this bastard can clear out entire ore sites in 10 seconds

kinda wish i knew more about the language models LLMs use and how to train them and change their output. they just use probability to find the next word, so couldn't you easily do the same thing for songs? music can be divided up into key phrases with a ton of repeated patterns, it feels like it wouldn't be hard at all to get a midi output for a song

Trying to perform some dark science on how tall Zoe is. Victor's half a head taller than PIDF grunts, and PIDF grunts are average male height. If that's Japanese height, Victor's probably around 6'. If that's European heights, that's probably around 6'4". Seems like Zoe has to fall in the 4'5" to 4'8" range.
