I think I may have figured out my Braille Screen Input issue! I was messing with the VoiceOver settings the other day. I just set my delay before selection to 0, and my double timeout to 0.35. That seems to work for me. I do think there might be a bug where sometimes if I type the for sign that sometimes it will keep writing that. If I want to write the word and, but that's my findings so far. I hope this isn't me doing something wrong. But now I don't have to recalibrate as much. So yay for this. I'm happy once again.

What are the proper settings for voiceOver and Braille Screen Input where I can type the fastest in that mode? Sometimes the phone still does tell me that I need to recalibrate. I didn't know if I needed to change any of the settings for double tap timeout, and delay before selection. Thanks in advance of course.

Very contentedly reading Mary Poppins. I just wish that all 8 books were in Audio. I feel like I read this before I had a Goodreads account. So we'll see what I think of it after all these years. I remember kinda thinking Mary was sort of a butthole, but I'm hoping I'm wrong in this. I'll enjoy the book regardless though.

I'm curious. If you use dictation on the iPhone, when you go back and proofread and correct on apps like Facebook it shows there's an attachment. Is that a visual way that says someone is using dictation? I just think it's weird. I'm actually typing this message, I just wanted to know what that was all about. Not that I ever really use dictation mind you.

Bob and I watched the Star Trek TNG episode in season 5 where someone came onto the Enterprise and did some tampering with everyone's memories. It was quite enjoyable. Now we're back to reading and gaming. I'm going back and forth between Valdemar by Lackey and Wandering Inn book 7.

So, i'm curious. I'm wanting to learn more about NVDA. Is there a way I can use Eloquence if I want to? I usually use Vocalizer for JAWS, but lately I've even felt like Eloquence for that screen reader as well. Thanks if anyone has an answer. And speaking of Eloquence is there a way to have the enhanced versions of those voices on the 14+? They did work for a while, but whenever I change that setting nothing happens. I've even done a phone restart. thanks if anyone has any suggestions. I do appreciate it.

I just wanted let everyone know that if i'm quieter on here for a bit I've found out some very sad news. I don't want to say what's going on, but I also didn't want people to worry. I'm not sure if I'll be quiet or if i'll post with my normal regularity, but I didn't want any of you to worry if I was quieter than usual. You are all awesome though, and you're all on my followers list for a reason. I will say though to at least take a few minutes out of each day and reach out to your loved ones and tell them how much they mean to you.

I felt that way too when I started Wandering Inn vol. 2. But then once i got into it I just couldn't quit. I need to get back to vol. 7. It'll happen soon I think. I feel so very behind in the series. but at least when I binge I can keep binging. Now I'm curious to know when the next volume is going to come out on Audible.

I've got a question. I've gotten used to things on IOS like how VoiceOver says "Cap I," instead of just raising the pitch. How would I do this for JAWS and NVDA? I don't want JAWS or NVDA to do this while I'm reading. I just want the notifications when I'm typing. Thanks so much in advance if anyone has an answer.

So you all know about how I had to send my laptop in for repairs. I totally dreamt that it broke in the exact same places. I woke up this morning and was going to tell Bob about it. then after thinking for a sec I was like. Oh, silly me. My laptop is just ffine. It's sitting downstairs in the basement and nothing is wrong with it.

Is there a way either on the Audible web site, or on the Audible app for IOS where you can sort your library by what you've added from the Plus catalog? @npub1cxy…vryr I love reading on the Echo. it sure saves on my phone battery. Set the speed to 125 on the echo, pick a book and let it go. I do wish we could speed them up to 200%, but 150 isn't at all bad either.

I've got some of the worst Book A.D.d. At the moment. It's annoying me so much. I know when I get my laptop back I am going to take a break from books. Sure, I can listen music on the Echo, but it's just not the same.
Unrelated. bob is playing Persona 3, and I swear in some of the music it sounds like they're saying "Meow." Both he and I are amused by this.

Today is the day 25 years ago that I graduated high school. I remember it like it was yesterday. So I'm feeling kind of retrospective today. Not to mention a little bit old. 44 is no spring chicken. I do hope that my classmates are doing well. I miss some of them sometimes. It would be kind of interesting to see where they are in life, so I might reach out at some point. We will have to see. But happy high school graduation anniversary to me.
